A story of the daily lives and struggles of five young lions in the Black Rock region of Kenya’s Masai Mara reserve. Born in 2017, the lions were given names by the Masai people to suit their personalities: Olumina, the lame one, is the most sexually active but has difficulty walking. Olosiadu, the stay-behind, is cautious and often isolates himself. Lorkulup, the tag-along, has a permanent runny nose that hinders him from hunting with his brothers. Orpadan, the hunter, is always in the lead and first to their prey. Oloborr, the sister-killer, is the strongest male and the boss of the group

1. The Route to the Top

In the spring of 2021, the lions' mothers arrive with new cubs. Conflict quickly arises when hunger takes them across the Rongai river, where they must avoid other prides in order to safely hunt and survive

2. Season of Plenty

Discover the risks that the lionesses take during hunting, and the impact of park rangers-controlled fires on the land. They face challenges, including climate change, human activity, and wildebeest migration

3. Buffalo Wars

Tensions arise within the pride, with the adult males not always accepting the lionesses and cubs. Despite these challenges, the pride survives, thanks to the leadership of Oloborr and the protection provided by the four male lions
