Indspire Awards

An annual Canadian awards ceremony, known as National Aboriginal Achievement Awards until 2012, intended to celebrate and encourage excellence in the Aboriginal community in Canada, honouring dedicated and community-focused First Nations, Inuit and Métis, presented by Indspire (formerly National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation).

1. 1st National Aboriginal Achievement Awards

The Canadian Native Arts Association presents the 1st National Aboriginal Achievement Awards from the Opera at Ottawa's National Arts Centre. The ceremonies are hosted by Tom Jackson with Buffy Sainte-Marie, Susan Aglukark, the singing duo Kashtin, guitarist Don Ross, singer Jani Lauzon, Gaetan Gingras and Christine O'Leary.
