This is one of the reasons I left IMDb and came here, they randomly deleted all the negative reviews on this and, frankly it stinks.

A big part of it is Woopie, she doesn't really act anymore she... politics and it shows.

But then The Stand 2020 also politics and doesn't really follow the novel very well because of it. The story is more about hitting check boxes that every title needs to hit and not about, you know, the plot or the story or anything close to entertainment.
