Key West was a short-lived 1993 hour long comedy-drama television series set in Key West, Florida. Thirteen episodes aired on Fox between January and June 1993. It was created by David Beaird and Allan Marcil. The show was produced by Viacom Productions. The main character is Seamus O'Neill, played by Fisher Stevens, a factory worker from New Jersey who dreams of being a writer. When he wins the lottery, he uses his newfound wealth to move to Key West to pursue his writing career, Where his idol, Hemingway, had lived. Seamus finds the island inhabited by eccentrics. He takes a job as a reporter for The Meteor," a local newspaper. In addition to Stevens: Jennifer Tilly, Denise Crosby, and Brian Thompson led the large ensemble cast as the town's high-class prostitute, conservative mayor and eccentric sheriff, respectively.

1. Pilot

Lottery winner Seamus O'Neil (Fisher Stevens) quits a dull factory job to become a newspaper writer, a la Hemmingway, in Key West. His first story: a heated mayoral campaign.

2. The Second Day in Heaven

The good news: Seamus's million-dollar lottery check arrives. The bad news: it's only $32.59 after deductions.

3. The Great Unknown

Flu-stricken and short-staffed, Seams vows to the paper out if it kills himâ€”and it might; a mysterious, filry stranger captivates Jody; Gumbo faces up to the 10th anniversary of his beloved wife's death.

4. Less Moonlight

Laurel, the passion of Seamus's life, intends to reclaim him; JoJo wins a "slave" for a day: Chaucy; and Rikki peddles exotic marital aids to island housewives.

5. Pieces of a Man

Seamus tackles the obituary of an island legend he never met, but whose bequests changes the lives of manyâ€”including Seams, who's entrusted with the care of the old man's ashes.

6. The Greening

Two ne'er-do-well friends for Seamus's youth want to take him to Africa; a gentlemanly navel officer take Savannah by storm; Chaucy's drinking problem resurfaces.

7. Act of God

As Hurricane Andrew bears down of the Keys, tourists and townsfolk prepare to evacuateâ€”except for a few loco locals who get ready to party.

8. Gimme Shelter

Seams, JoJo and Rikki scrounge for shelter while their digs are being fumigated; and Savannah is visited by a stern nun form her school days, who's come to ask a favor.

Everyone suffers when the Government blockades tie island to find illegal immigrants, but most of all JoJo, whose visa has expired.

Seamus's slice-of-life article about Gumbo's bar enables Chaucy to shut it down; Hector's dream of producing quality cigars goes up in smoke.

13. Heavy Metal, Heavy Hearts

A "moonstruck" dolphin follows Savannah and Seams home from lobster fishing; JoJo and Hunter strike gold in an underwater treasure hunt; Hector pressures Chaucy to issue a dredging permit.
